Thanksgiving Planning

I'm getting ready for the Thanksgiving day feast! We went to our son's house the last couple years but this year we're staying home and hoping some family members will drop in. We decided to keep the menu simple because I will be the only one to deal with leftovers and I don't need to indulge more than once. Honestly, I don't need to indulge at all! Besides the roast turkey, we're having cranberry relish, dressing, noodles, and pea salad. That's it!

I won't need to use a recipe for anything in this meal but I still pulled out my collection to peruse. It helps me to get in the holiday spirit when I see the old cookbooks and handwritten recipe cards. The ones I received from family and friends who are no longer with us are especially endearing. I probably should do a better job of organizing them but...
