I know breeders sort and cull and record and work really hard to make sure they have the best stock they can produce.
I know they do. I'm sure of it.
But I can't help but wonder why they don't breed out some of the undesirable traits on my list?
I mean, come on, surely it would not be too hard to get rid of the DNA in a dog that says "on sunny days, only poop under the clothesline."
And what about that little genetic code in the goats that says "no matter how many times the goat lady sees you pee, do it again as soon as she puts fresh straw down in your shed."
Plus, while they are at it, why don't they just take care of that little gene in a rooster that says "crow EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU GET LUCKY."
OK- rant over. Now that I've got that out of my system, I think I'll just go enjoy my weekend. Hope yours is great, too!
