I spent quite some time in my basement last night. Not so much fun for me but the dogs thought it was a grand adventure. It got a little scary for a while! I couldn't get out to take care of my critters so I went to check on them at first light this morning. I'm sad to report that one of my pullets got stuck out in the storm and a predator got it. Also, all of my rabbits are gone. Not sure if it was the predator or the storm that caused this as the cages were open and scattered on the ground. My heart is broken about it so I will just tell myself that they ran away and are munching on someone else's garden.
I'll share some pix of the damage I will be cleaning up later.

Looks like I've got my work cut out for me, huh? I'm so glad the damage is minor. I have already retrieved my garbage tote from the cornfield across the road and someone was nice enough to get my tree limbs off the highway before I even got up this morning! Time for a cup of coffee and a prayer of thanksgiving!
