1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Every week I hope to share something I am thankful for. This week I'm thankful for new chicks!

Hope everything is going well for you. This Indiana weather we are having lately makes me think spring is right around the corner, but I do not want to plunge into gardening yet only to have things succumb to a freeze. Unfortunately I cannot stop the fruit trees from blooming and right now the buds are swelling a lot. We also have 8 new chicks and should have a couple of baby geese in about 3 weeks. With new chicks hatching and too many chickens here already, we are helping someone start their own flock by providing them with 4 adult hens and any education they need about chicken life and care. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of 50+ years of raising chickens. What breeds do you have now? Bora.
Ooh, I bet the geese will be fun! We have such a mix: 1 silver Wyandotte, 1 buff Orpington, 1 Aricauna, 1 cuckoo Mariana, 4 Silkies, and a few mixed breeds. It's really nice of you to help out the newbies!
