OK I did NOT die. this time. But I'm thinking I had to be really close. The coughing. The sneezing. The headache. The fever. The runny/stopped-up nose. UGH!
But all those down days gave me plenty of time to think. Stop cringing! I made some interesting winter observations that might actually be helpful! Here's a few:
1.You can't beat the feeling of a flannel gown when it's fresh out of the dryer. The warmth! The softness! The crackling of your hair!
2.Coffee has a much better flavor when someone else gets out of the warm bed to brew it.
3.It doesn't matter how many people tell you it's your funny bone. If you traipse across the ice between the door and the mailbox, slip and land on your elbow, you don't laugh.
4.Training a dog to stay off the bed may actually be a punishment to yourself in the wintertime. Brrr!
5.Cough drops will never taste good, I don't care what "flavor" is listed.
6.Text messages from a long-distance spouse in the middle of the day can warm you up for hours.
7.Being too sick to water your herbs may cause your Rosemary plant to flourish! Maybe this one will survive!
