The Week Ahead

Last week I made a big batch of salsa from some of the roma tomatoes that have been taking up space in my freezer. To say we had an abundance last year is an understatement! --BTW if you've never frozen tomatoes before, it's a great way to store them. I only have to hold them under running water for a few seconds and the peels come off SOOO easily!-- But back to the salsa. It turned out very good, just as good as fresh salsa. But I didn't put any vinegar in it so it has to be used up. So today I am making taco soup with hamburger, salsa, black beans, onions... yummy.

Plans for this week:
 1. We don't know yet if there is a kid on the way. But just in case, it's time to separate the men from the errrr. What I mean to say is, it's time to put Archie in his place, as in his own place. A place of his own. A BUCK PEN! So DH is off to town to purchase fencing and gates and shelters, oh my.

 2. Praire Cat over at Back to Basics shared a really cool way to make homemade orange oil cleaner. Since I have the makings already in stock, that's a project I am excited to try.

 3. I have been promising DH to make his favorite raisin bread for some time. And since he is indulging in some crazy goat lady's dreams (see #1) this week, raisin bread it will be!

Check back tomorrow to see any progress or if  I have learned something new to share!
