This was how my car greeted me when I came out of the store today. Way too hot to get anything done outside!! So I stayed indoors and finished up my very first, do-it-all-by-myself sewing project.
And here it is:
All finished up and ready to adorn some cute cook! And I am giving it away. I'll do a random drawing from all the entries on Friday, August 5. I wish the picture was better but if it was, you would be able to see all the mistakes I made. Trust me, it will be more fun to discover them on your own! So get busy and get entered!
And if you are a guy- you should enter, also. This little apron would work so well with a line like, "I got you something special to wear while I help you cook dinner, honey."

Sewing tip: ALWAYS backstitch before cutting your thread to prevent raveling. :)

put a dab of clear fingernail polish on the back of the sewn on button to keep it from coming off!
Hope you dont mind me posting another tip..lol.If you are wanting to sew a tube, sew a string in the end and keep it to where you can get to it and then you can take that string and pull and turn your tube right side out!
When using a sewing machine...don't worry about changing the bobbin thread color if it won't show thru.

Ok, Mom. You have a lot of people who want this apron. I think that means that my chances are getting slimmer. You might just have to teach me how to make my own!
